Senior Health Care Solutions was created by Jeffrey Falk, RN, MS, CLTCO, an experienced and credentialed Health Care professional, in response to the growing need in families and communities for guidance through what can be a painful labyrinth of health concerns for the older American. As Americans live longer, quality of life issues become ever more of a priority, and there are no quality of life questions more important than, “How do I know what the best health care options are for me and how do I make sure I am getting the best care?” It is undeniable that the financial climate puts increasing pressure on our health care providers, forcing them to spend less and less time with each patient, which may result in lapses of continuity of care. Often our families are not close by, or are unable to pay the attention we need, to our concerns. *Each condition brings with it several often confusing challenges;* Do you know how to get a second opinion related to your diagnosis? A Personal Message from Jeffrey A. Falk Greetings, I am happy to be able to take a few moments to tell you about what Senior Health Care Solutions has to offer, and I thank you for your time and attention while I share with you why I think our work is so important. I have seen a lot of change in health care delivery over the past twenty years. There have been many positive advancements in the technologies and therapies available for the elderly. I wish I could say that I have seen this result in better quality of life for all elderly patients, but I have not. My experience has taught me one thing above all else. The people who live longer and stay healthier, are people who feel they have some control and understanding of what is going on in their lives, they are people who have a sense of confidence about the way they care for themselves and the care they are receiving. In short, they are people who feel they can trust those around them to assist them in staying healthy and vital. When we have family members that we trust, doctors we know and feel we can personally rely upon, friends & neighbors who are ready and willing to help us if we need it, we are truly fortunate and it shows in how healthy we are and how well we feel. I do not have to tell you that it is rare to find someone who feels that they have these resources at their fingertips these days, that is why what we do is so important. We are people you can trust, we are there for you in all the ways that matter and make you feel comfortable and in control. In our complicated times, nothing can be more important than an advocate who can help make sense out of it all.
